Project Details
The scheme seeks to develop a previous planning permission granted 15 years ago to create the contemporary brick house. The scheme makes use of the site levels to create a lower ground floor level with sunken light well to create an additional bedroom. A sculptural staircase winds upwards in one corner of the plot, with a larger skylight on the roof bringing light deep into the floorpan. The living spaces, bathroom and second bedroom are then spread evenly across the floor plates as you move upwards through the scheme. A domestic form as been developed using London stock brickwork to hide the new dwelling within the local context and conservation area. The scheme is currently submitted for planning permission with the council.
