A new 5000 sqft nursery which forms part of an exciting new build Intergenerational Care setting in Thirsk, Yorkshire. Lara Nursery is on site currently, and will be opening in June 2024. The nursery is a sustainably focused, natural materials led project that creates nurturing spaces for children to learn, grow and develop.
The design approach uses curved walls and joinery soften the spaces, and internally glazed partitions allow light to flow through. Each classroom has direct access to an external space, visually and physically linking the indoor and outdoor spaces.
